Merger Milestones

We are pleased to report that Dime Community Bank and  BNB Bank  have officially merged as of February 1, 2021.

Here’s our progress to date toward a smooth and seamless merger:

  • Bridge Bancorp, Inc. and Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. announce Merger of Equals on 7/1/2020
  • Regulatory approval received from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
  • Shareholder approvals received from shareholders of Dime and BNB on 12/3/2020
  • Regulatory approval received from the New York State Department of Financial Services on 12/22/2020
  • Dime Community Bank and BNB Bank officially merged on 2/1/2021.
  • Dime Bank Systems Integration – Weekend of April 16 – April 18, 2021.

Merger Communications

Important Notice about FDIC Insurance

On February 1, 2021, BNB Bank and Dime Community Bank Merged. If you have accounts at both Dime and BNB, they will be separately insured up to the maximum amount allowed by law for six months from the merger date (2/1/2021).

Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are insured separately for six months from the merger date or until maturity, whichever is later. In addition, if you have a CD that is renewed for the same term and amount during this six-month transition period, the CD will continue to be insured separately until the next renewal date. Merger Branch Consolidations

To continue providing the highest levels of service, we are consolidating branches that overlap in the Dime and BNB branch networks.

MELVILLE BRANCH CONSOLIDATION

The current Dime Melville branch, located at One Huntington Quadrangle, Suite 1N06, Melville, NY will consolidate into the new Dime Melville location at 400 Broadhollow Road, Melville, NY 11747.

The last official day of business at the Dime Melville branch will be Friday, April 16, 2021.

MERRICK BRANCH CONSOLIDATION

The BNB Merrick branch, located at 2222 Merrick Road, Merrick, NY will consolidate into the Dime Merrick branch at 1775 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY 11566.

The last official day of business at the BNB Merrick branch will be Friday, April 16, 2021.
